1. Introduction and Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the website located at https://event-x.link (the "Service") provided by event-x. By accessing our website, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Open Source Disclosure & Software Origin: The technology platform for event-x is built upon open-source software originally developed by the "hi.events" team (available via GitHub). event-x has independently forked, significantly modernized, and customized this code to create a unique service environment. While we acknowledge the original foundation, event-x is a separate entity and is solely responsible for the operation, maintenance, and support of the service provided on this domain.

2. Our Role as an Intermediary
It is essential to understand the following regarding the nature of our platform:
  • We are an Intermediary: event-x is not the creator, organizer, or owner of the events listed. We provide the technical tools for Organizers to manage their events and sell tickets.
  • Contractual Relationship: Any agreement for the purchase of a ticket or registration is strictly between the Event Organizer and the Attendee. event-x is not a party to that contract.
  • Event Responsibility: The Event Organizer is solely responsible for the quality, safety, legality, and execution of the event itself.

3. Account Registration
To create events or manage tickets, you must register for an account.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your password.
  • event-x is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login credentials.

4. Refunds and Cancellations
Because event-x is a technical intermediary and not the organizer:
  • No Platform Refunds: We do not issue refunds to Attendees.
  • Organizer Policy: Refund policies are set entirely by the individual Event Organizer. Attendees must contact the Organizer directly regarding any refund requests or event cancellations.

5. User Content and Marketing Rights
  • License to Content: By uploading logos, event descriptions, or images, you grant event-x a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use and display that content to provide the service.
  • Promotion: You grant event-x the right to use your entity name, event name, and logo as a reference for marketing or promotional purposes (e.g., in a "Trusted By" section) unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Limitations of Use
When using event-x.link, you warrant that you will not:
  • Use the service for illegal gambling, prohibited substances, or activities promoting hate speech.
  • Attempt to disrupt our networks or bypass security measures.
  • Harvest or collect user data without explicit consent.
  • Send unauthorized advertising or spam.

7. Intellectual Property
The intellectual property in the materials (designs, modernized code, and branding) on this website is owned by or licensed to event-x. Users are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the platform for its intended event management purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, event-x is not liable for any "consequential loss" (including loss of profit, revenue, or data) arising out of your use or inability to use the service. The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, for any breach of these Terms of Service or for conduct that we believe is harmful to other users or the platform.
